Job description
The Medical Representative is responsible for the management of promotion and customer relationships with regards to medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics or food supplements through interactions with healthcare professionals in various public and private healthcare settings.
The role involves managing professional relationships, supporting marketing and promotional initiatives, achieving established sales targets, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with local legislation, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines, and company policies.
Duties & Responsabilities:
- Manage promotion and customer relationships with regards to medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics or food supplements through interactions with healthcare professionals in various public and private healthcare settings.
- Visit healthcare providers and key stakeholders to medically detail the Company’s products.
- Monitor & report monthly product sales and customer insights to identify opportunities within your portfolio.
- Create, implement, and evaluate promotional activity plans to support brand visibility and market expansion.
- Ensure all marketing materials and activities comply with local guidelines and applicable legislation.
- Deliver presentations at conferences, educational sessions, and promotional events.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to achieve shared sales and performance targets.
- Act as a point of reference for product knowledge on the Maltese market.
- Conduct marketing and competitor analysis for potential future product launches.
- Propose and organise promotional campaigns and activities targeted at pharmacies and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Be in possession of a pharmacy/science related degree
- Have sound business acumen
- Be customer and sales oriented
- Have good communication and organizational skills
- Be comfortable with working in a team
- Be able to work on own initiative
- Be fluent in English
- Fluency of Maltese is preferred
- Be in possession of a valid driving license
